Anderson has a history of leading teams to success in the digital era. As Publisher at AAAS/Science, he helped guide AAAS through its first acquisition in decades and secure Board approval for two new journal launches, while also helping AAAS' newest OA journal, Science Advances, exceed its start-up goals. As the CEO and Publisher for the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and its parent company, STRIATUS, he grew revenues in the orthopaedic publishing market at an impressive rate during his five-year tenure by launching innovative new titles and educational initiatives. During his career, he developed some of the first online continuing medical education (CME) sites, created the first PowerPoint slide sets in an online journal, launched early e-only journal publishing programs, and pioneered rapid-publication approaches. Anderson also writes and speaks occasionally on topics of interest to scholarly publishers and leaders.
