King Abdulaziz University and Taylor & Francis sign open access publishing partnership -

King Abdulaziz University and Taylor & Francis have formed a new open access publishing partnership to broaden the global reach of the university’s research programs. The partnership enables authors at King Abdulaziz University to publish open access articles in more than 2,500 journals within the Taylor & Francis portfolio. It covers both hybrid and full open access journals, including titles from Routledge, Dove Medical Press, and F1000.

The initiative is aligned with the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international research presence and increase access to its scientific output. Open access publishing is a key element of that program, making recent research findings available to readers worldwide. The collaboration also reflects a shared commitment by the university and the publisher to support open research practices and international collaboration.

According to the university’s stated perspective, the agreement is part of a broader strategy to provide researchers with tools, partnerships, and platforms intended to increase the impact of research originating in Saudi Arabia. This view presents the collaboration as consistent with plans to advance open science, enhance international cooperation, and sustain an active role in research and discovery.

From the publisher’s standpoint, the partnership is framed as support for the university’s objectives in research and education, with an emphasis on working with researchers across the institution’s various disciplines to increase the visibility of their published work.
