Wiley’s Knewton Alta was named the Best Higher Education Science Instructional Solution of 2022 as part of the annual Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE Awards. The prestigious CODiE Awards recognise the companies producing the most innovative education technology products across the country and around the world.
Knewton Alta is an accessible and affordable adaptive courseware designed to provide students with the support they need at the moment they need it. The courseware's mastery-based learning experience is personalised based on student performance. It provides detailed answer explanations, integrated just-in-time instruction, and remediation of pre-requisite skill gaps to ensure students can retain, recall, and apply the knowledge in the future.
Knewton Alta was also a finalist this year in two other 2022 CODiE Award categories: Best Higher Education Mathematics Instructional Solution and Best Personalised Learning Solution. The company previously won a CODiE in 2020 for Best Mathematics Instructional Solution for Grades 9-12 & Higher Education.
SIIA, the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, announced the full slate of CODiE winners during a virtual winner announcement. Awards were given for products and services deployed specifically for education and learning professionals, including the top honor of the Best Overall Education Technology Solution.
An SIIA CODiE Award win is a prestigious honor, following rigorous reviews by expert judges, including educators and administrators whose evaluations determined the finalists. SIIA members then vote on the finalist products, and the scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners.
