Knovel, the US-based provider of a web-based application integrating technical information with analytical and search tools, has announced an expansion to Yaws' Critical Property Data for Chemical Engineers and Chemists which Knovel launched in July 2012. The expanded database now includes data on superheated, saturated and subcooled fluids, mixtures, refrigerants and various materials used in chemical plant construction and equipment design – information previously unavailable in a single reference database.
The new subject area focuses on the people-centric skills required of emerging leaders, providing important guidance on the 'soft skills' necessary to win internal support for projects, make staffing and hiring decisions, negotiate contracts and more. The content is relevant to all engineers leading initiatives that require employees to have skills for communication, team building, business planning and staff development.
Key publishers in the new subject area include AMACOM, American Society for Quality (ASQ), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Elsevier, Fairmont Press, The IET, Industrial Press, Information Age Publishing Inc., Kogan Page Publishers, Management Concepts, Measurement International, Oxford University Press, Project Management Institute and Wiley. Material from CBS Press will be added in the second quarter of 2013.
