Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, has announced that Istanbul-based Koç University, one of the leading academic and research institutions in Turkey, has chosen the Ex Libris campusM® Enterprise platform for developing and delivering personalised applications and services to students and staff.
With campusM, the University will now be able to offer students highly personalised services via native mobile apps. Koç will also be able to use its existing in-house IT expertise to develop new services as requested by stakeholders. The ability to create unique functionality will give the University a considerable advantage in the increasingly competitive Turkish higher‑education market.
As well as using native maps and integrating campusM with the University's Moodle™ and PeopleSoft® systems, Koç will develop native apps through the campusM App Extension Kit (AEK) and will use iBeacons® technology for presence- and location-aware apps.
