InformationWeek, an IT brand focused on the business value of technology, has announced Laurianne McLaughlin as editor in chief of InformationWeek.com. In her new role, McLaughlin will shape the site's editorial strategy and direction, as well as oversee day-to-day coverage. McLaughlin was most recently at CIO.com as managing editor.
McLaughlin will lead an award-winning team of reporters and editors as she oversees news, analysis and opinion coverage for InformationWeek.com. She will also work closely with Preston, InformationWeek editorial director Fritz Nelson and other editors to expand the site's community of engaged readers, enhance the site's usability and continue to add compelling features and functionality.
InformationWeek.com averages six million page views monthly, serving more than two million unique visitors. It is the flagship property within InformationWeek's business technology online network, which includes DarkReading.com, Wall Street & Technology, NetworkComputing.com, and TheBrainYard.com. The InformationWeek Business Technology Network is also scheduled to launch BYTE in mid-July.
