Learned Publishing appoints inaugural Student Editor -

The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) and the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) have announced the creation of a new student editor position for the journal, Learned Publishing.

Serving as the inaugural student editor, Charlotte Mauti is a master's student in publishing at Oxford Brookes University. Charlotte will work closely with the journal's Editor-in-Chief, Pippa Smart, and North American Editor, Lettie Conrad, to support the global editorial operations. This appointment marks an important step towards investment in the next generation of publishing professionals.

Learned Publishing is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and the student editor appointment is one of the developments introduced to celebrate this landmark. Featuring reports on innovations and new initiatives, original research and insights, as well as expert commentary, the journal provides a living record of the revolutionary changes that have rocked publishing. From the advent of digital publishing to disruptive new business models, the journal has always, and continues to, provide evidence that will help everyone involved in scholarly publishing improve practice and inspire innovation.
