LIBER announces Open Science Fair 2017 workshop -

International conference, the Open Science Fair 2017, will take place in Athens, Greece, September 6 - 8, 2017. The event is organised as 'an emblematic initiative of four EU projects in the area of Open Science: OpenAIRE, OpenUP, FOSTER and OpenMinTeD'.

The purpose of the conference is to bring together different stakeholders (funders, policy makers, publishers, content providers, creators, Research Infrastructures/communities, researchers, institutions, libraries, innovators) in order to discuss the implementation of targeted aspects of Open Science and the elements required for this transition.

On September 7 (Parallel session 5, 16:00), the 1.5 hour workshop entitled 'Organising High Quality Research Data Management Services for Open Science' will take place, bringing together representatives of standard organisation (RDA), eInfrastructures (EUDAT) and Libraries (LIBER) that together can organise the high quality data management for research.

LIBER is highly involved in EUDAT on policy and planning for data access, contributes to the research on environments and requirements by libraries, as well as to the communications' activities, and closely collaborates with RDA Europe.
