Library groups partner to create ORCID US community -

LYRASIS has announced a partnership with the NorthEast Research Libraries, the Greater Western Library Alliance, and the Big Ten Academic Alliance to create a US community to support ORCID, a non-profit organisation based in Bethesda, Maryland. ORCID provides a unique persistent digital identifier for individual scholarly researchers.

Participating library members of the organisations will fund a position at LYRASIS to support the adoption and full implementation of ORCID services at their institutions. All US institutions are welcome to join the program. The parties share a broader vision of national-scale collaboration for US institutions that provides robust support for adoption of open scholarly infrastructure.
