Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), part of Wolters Kluwer Health, US, received 17 different awards for writing, editing and design in the annual awards competition of the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE). The awards include four gold, six silver, and seven bronze awards. With ten different nursing and medical journals honored, LWW received more awards than any other publisher.
The American Journal of Nursing, celebrating its 109th year of publication, received four awards for writing, editing, illustration and photography, while one of LWW's newest publications, Nephrology Times, was named best new publication. Other gold awards went to American Journal of Nursing, Emergency Medicine News and Neurology Today.
LWW's writers were also recognised for individual talent. James Roberts, MD, won a gold award for his column in Emergency Medical News, while Gina Shaw won gold for her column in Neurology Today.
