London School of Economics and Political Science goes live with Ex Libris Alma -

Library automation solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced that the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Library has become the 100th institution to go live with Ex Libris Alma. Libraries in nine countries are now using Alma to streamline library operations and enable them to provide higher quality services to end users. Over 360 institutions worldwide have selected Alma as their next generation resource management solution.

The London School of Economics and Political Science Library selected Ex Libris Alma for next-generation resource management services and Ex Libris Primo for unified resource discovery in January 2014. Primo and Alma have replaced a number of systems, including the Serials Solutions Summon service, the open-source VuFind discovery solution, and the Ex Libris Voyager integrated library system.

LSE Library, founded in 1896 as the British Library of Political and Economic Science, is the major international library for the social sciences with over 4 million printed items, 60,000 online journals and 29,000 electronic books. The Library's extensive research collections are international in scope, with particular strengths in government and official publications, data and statistical materials.
