LRG launches third annual study of North American library spending and budgeting -

The Library Resource Guide (LRG) has launched its third annual study of library spending and budgeting. Respondents to the study will be eligible to download the final report at no charge when the results are published and will be entered into a sweepstakes drawing for an Apple iPad.

The LRG ResearchLine Benchmark Study on 2013 Library Spending Plans will look at technology investments, budgets and budget trends, and funding sources for the complete range of libraries in North America. It will be conducted for LRG by the Unisphere Research Group. Unisphere had conducted the 2011 and 2012 Library Spending reports and the 2013 report will include comparative reporting between the new survey data and previous findings.

The final report is projected to be a substantial document intended to provide with unprecedented comparative data for similar libraries and a market overview intended to assist in the budgeting and budget justification process for the libraries. Every respondent of the survey will receive access to the final report on a complimentary basis.

Individual respondents will not be identified by name or institution. Submitting an email address at the conclusion of the survey is required only for the purpose of delivering the link to the final report and for use in drawing/notification of the Sweepstakes winner. The last date for the survey is April 5.
