ALEPH Polska Ltd., the exclusive distributor of Ex Libris solutions in Poland, has announced that the partners of the Lublin Virtual Library project have opted for the Primo® discovery and delivery solution and the SFX® OpenURL link resolver.
Lublin Virtual Library is a consortial project undertaken by seven academic and cultural libraries that create and publish digital collections in the Lublin region.
The project forms part of the European Union's Regional Operational Programme in Lublin. Among the project's goals are the implementation of a platform connecting the digital assets of all libraries and cultural institutions in the province of Lublin and an increase in the visibility of traditional materials available at the region's public and university libraries.
Ex Libris Primo will provide a single interface for all digital, physical, and electronic assets of the member institutions, as well as a separate view for each institution. The implementation will integrate Primo and SFX with the consortium's VTLS Virtua integrated library system, several locally developed systems, and multiple digital asset management systems.
