Lund University Libraries and ARL seek proposals for Library Assessment Seminar and LibQUAL+ Share Fair programme -

Lund University Libraries and the Association of Research Libraries are seeking proposals for the Library Assessment Seminar and LibQUAL+ Share Fair programme to be held at Lund University, Sweden, on September 20, 2012. Proposal submission and registration is now open.

The morning program will feature speakers from the US and the UK who will speak on how organisational strategy and metrics work together. They will also highlight the contributions of LibQUAL+ to library assessment and planning activities in libraries.

In the afternoon the Share Fair - an informal, science-fair-style gathering - will feature brief presentations/poster sessions by current and past LibQUAL+ survey participants highlighting examples of quantitative and qualitative analysis available from survey results and marketing ideas. Strategy plans from various libraries and their relation to metrics are also welcome at the Share Fair.

This event offers an opportunity to learn about the most strategic approaches to library performance measurement and metrics and how LibQUAL+ enhances these efforts.

LibQUAL+ is a suite of services that libraries use to solicit, track, understand and act upon users’ opinions of service quality. These services are offered to the international library community by the Association of Research Libraries. The program’s centrepiece is a rigorously tested web-based survey paired with training that helps libraries assess and improve library services, change organisational culture, and market the library.
