Healthcare publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), part of Wolters Kluwer Health, has signed a five-year agreement to continue as publisher for the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). LWW has been the publisher of AAN's Neurology since 1997 and launched the organisation's Neurology Now in 2005. The four-journal contract includes these journals apart from Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology and Neurology Today.
Neurology is projected as a leading clinical neurology journal directed to physicians concerned with diseases and conditions of the nervous system. It has a total circulation of over 20,000 health professionals. Neurology Now is AAN's bi-monthly magazine for neurology patients, their families and caregivers. With a circulation of over 460,000, the journal provides updated information on the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions, including migraine, Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease.
A topic-based self-study continuing medical education publication, Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology allows neurologists to learn at their own pace while earning up to 60 AMA PRA Category 1 credits a year. Neurology Today is a bi-weekly tabloid covering important clinical, research, policy, practice, and other news relevant to neurologists.
