Lyrasis has entered into a three‑year Read and Publish agreement with Wiley, covering 2026 to 2028. The arrangement expands open access publishing opportunities for Lyrasis members and their researchers while supporting the broader transition to open scholarly publishing.
Under the agreement, corresponding authors at participating institutions can publish open access in more than 1,200 Wiley hybrid journals, with several Creative Commons license options available. Institutions also gain full access to over 1,300 journal titles included in the Wiley Database Model.
Six Lyrasis members are currently participating, representing more than 76,000 students and hundreds of faculty and staff. Additional institutions may join, with quotes provided upon request.
This agreement joins other Lyrasis collaborations with publishers and organizations including the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Cambridge University Press, Elsevier (limited to current participants), IOP Publishing, Oxford University Press, Royal Society of Chemistry, The Royal Society, and Springer Nature, along with open access programs that operate without costs to authors or readers.
