Maney Online shows strong results just three months post launch -

Academic publisher Maney Publishing has announced that its much-anticipated new platform, Maney Online, has successfully achieved its principal objective, to be a user-friendly and simple-to-navigate site. The site brings together journal content and information in one place, resulting in greater visibility for Maney's journals, satisfaction for readers, and ultimately increased content usage.

It has been three months since Maney Publishing launched Maney Online, powered by Atypon's LiteratumĀ® software. The functions and tools the site offers, with more still to come, have been carefully developed in line with the responses Maney received from librarians, readers, authors and editors in its initial comprehensive survey. Since launch, Maney has welcomed the enthusiastic feedback from customers who have experienced a smooth and efficient transition between platforms, and are now enjoying the added features that Maney Online offers.

Currently hosting 144 active publications on the platform, Maney reports a very significant 17 percent average like-for-like increase in full text downloads so far in 2014 compared with the same period last year. This usage, which is increasing week by week, demonstrates the now enhanced discoverability of Maney's content and increased visibility of research for authors and society partners. It should also have a positive effect on the journals' impact factors and SCImago Journal Rank metrics in 2015 and beyond.

Maney is now exploring the potential of the features and insights the platform offers, and considering future development ideas to support new business models. Further customer feedback will be formally invited on this matter later in the year, but is also welcomed informally at any time.
