Manta, the US-based online community for promoting and connecting small business, has announced that it has achieved unprecedented across-the-board growth in 2010, marked by a number of significant benchmarks, including a monthly audience leap from 12 million to 26 million and a revenue increase of more than 75 percent.
Manta's milestone year was highlighted by significant advertising increases, the introduction of several innovative subscription products and features, a complete site redesign, and successful international expansion into Canada, the UK and Australia. According to Pamela Springer, president and CEO of Manta, all of these landmark developments had measurable impact on Manta's positive trajectory and will continue to propel the company's growth in 2011. Springer reports that the company attained record worldwide earnings in 2010, and is projected to increase revenue at an accelerated pace in the new year.
Manta received acknowledgment as an industry leader from several top analyst firms in 2010, including noteworthy recognition in Outsell's 2010 B2B Trade Publishing and Company Information Market Forecast and Trends Report. In the report, Outsell, Inc listed Manta as one of the '10 to Watch' in the Company Information Segment.
Fueling Manta's 2010 growth were a number of achievements, including the introductions of Manta Business Connect; Manta profile claim; Premium Business Listing service; and Chart It tool. Manta's advertising landscape also expanded in 2010 as an increasing number of top brand name marketers recognised Manta's power to deliver SMB decision makers. The company forged a number of new partnerships with leading brands in the finance and telecom categories this year.
Manta added more than 20 employees in 2010 to support key initiatives in its sales, product management and operations groups, and significantly expanded its marketing team to begin implementing the company's wide-reaching brand awareness campaign. To further support the company's expansion throughout the US and internationally, Manta will continue to hire aggressively by adding 25 new team members both in the company headquarters and its satellite offices.
