Information infrastructure software provider Mark Logic Corporation, US, has announced that Jason Monberg, vice president of product management, MarkLogic, will be speaking at the forthcoming O'Reilly Tools of Change Conference in New York City. Monberg's presentation, 'The New Publishing: Anywhere, Anytime, Anyhow' will look at how developing consumption models are driving a new breed of solutions and information platforms in the publishing industry and how publishers are taking advantage of this fundamental shift throughout the lifecycle of their content.
Social media, mobile devices, and real-time interaction are seen to be having a real impact on the publishing industry. Publishers are just starting to learn how to leverage these trends to improve the bottom line. In his presentation, Monberg will discuss how publishers are implementing solutions to easily mash-up content from multiple sources to create next generation products.
In addition, Norman Walsh, lead engineer, MarkLogic, will be speaking on a panel titled, 'Standards in Flux: What's Happening and What's on the Horizon in the Publishing Standards Landscape'. The panel will discuss the changing publishing standards landscape, with a focus on the issues of accessibility and metadata.
