McGraw-Hill Education, a division of the McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc., US, has announced the appointment of media and information industry veteran Mark Dorman as president of McGraw-Hill Education International. Dorman will help drive McGraw-Hill Education's mission of becoming a global digital learning company by capitalizing on the company's product development expertise across markets and combining those capabilities with the regional insight and distribution network of its international operations. Most recently, he served as president and chief executive officer of Wolters Kluwer Law & Business.
Philip Ruppel, who has led both McGraw-Hill Education's international operations and professional business since June 2012, will continue to serve as president of McGraw-Hill Professional, a position he has held since 2007. The appointment of Dorman comes at a time when McGraw-Hill Education has increasingly turned its focus toward opportunities in global markets.
