McGraw-Hill Professional has announced the launch of its suite of AccessMedicine services on an all-new platform which will improve user functionality and revolutionize how students and doctors use medical information and education.
As demands on medical students, residents, and practitioners continue to increase, institutions and individuals require solutions which provide time-tested content when and where they need it at the point of care. The new AccessMedicine platform launch features transformative technology changes that include breakthrough mobile responsive design for on-the-go access, a faster and more personalised user interface, and cutting edge search functionality to arm the medical student and professional with even greater capabilities to make better clinical decisions, gain greater insights, and achieve better outcomes.
AccessMedicine customers worldwide will now benefit from the next-generation enhancements and features. These include: Responsive Mobile Design; Enhanced Custom Curriculum for Rotation Management; and Powerful Search.
The content foundation of AccessMedicine services includes hundreds of thousands of pages of semantically tagged content from the world’s leading medical textbooks including Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, Schwartz’s Principles of Surgery, Tintinalli’s Emergency Medicine, and Current Medical Diagnosis & Treatment, tens of thousands of images and procedural videos, interactive self-assessment, and curriculum workflow tools. The new technology platform provides users with even faster and more effective access to unprecedented content and information depth in their specialty.
Also new to the platform through a partnership with RelayHealth is more than 7000 downloadable patient education monographs in both English and Spanish allowing doctors to provide ‘patient friendly’ medical information to the patient at the point of care. In all, the new platform covers eight of McGraw-Hill Professional’s award-winning healthcare services. In addition to AccessMedicine, the new platform launch includes: AccessAnesthesiology, AccessEmergencyMedicine, AccessPediatrics, AccessPharmacy, AccessPhysiotherapy, AccessSurgery, as well as the Online Metabolic and Molecular Basis of Inherited Diseases database (OMMBID).
