MDPI Thailand has announced that Mahasarakham University (MSU) joined the Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP). MSU is the third partner in Thailand since the MDPI Bangkok Office began operations.
Under this arrangement, researchers affiliated with MSU receive an IOAP discount on article processing charges (APCs) for all MDPI journals. The university also obtains access to the online submission system, which lists complete article metadata and pricing details to support straightforward identification and transparency. The program is intended to help MSU researchers increase the reach and availability of their work.
The agreement follows discussions between the MDPI Bangkok Office and MSU representatives. The two sides plan to explore additional activities, such as academic publishing workshops, journal publishing, conferences, media collaborations, and recruitment-related efforts.
MSU becomes part of a group of more than 900 institutions worldwide that participate in MDPI’s IOAP. MDPI invites universities in Thailand to review the IOAP offerings and consider working with MDPI to advance open science.
