MetaPress expands customer base with 14 additional publishers -

MetaPress, a web hosting platform service of EBSCO Inc.'s Publisher Promotion & Fulfilment division, recently announced an expansion of its user base. Fourteen additional publishers have recently launched their electronic content distribution service via the MetaPress 2.0 platform. The service claims to be the world's largest primary host of STM content.

The 14 publishers include Bellwether Publishing; Bulletin of Atomic Scientists; Canadian Meteorological & Oceanographic Society; Creative Education Foundation; Dieticians of Canada; Harcourt Connected Learning - Classroom Connect; J. Ross Publishing; Karnac Books; Men's Studies Press; Oncology Nursing Society; Society of Wood Science & Technology; University of Colorado, Arctic & Alpine Research Center; University of Nebraska at Omaha - Journal of Latino and Latin American Studies; and Walsh Medical Media.

Launched in August 2006, MetaPress is projected as the industry's first content management system with dimensional navigation across a variety of content types. A primary source online hosting platform for more than 27,000 scholarly publications across the globe, it provides a comprehensive solution to web publishing needs and offers an established way to publish titles electronically, regardless of existing content and format. Currently, MetaPress provides services and support to 155 publishers.
