BioData, the producer of Labguru, has announced the appointment of Michael G. Tomasic to its Board of Directors. Tomasic contributes 30 years of leadership experience in the life science and biotech industries to BioData's research and lab management services.
Tomasic served as President and CEO of CambridgeSoft for 20 years. Under his leadership, CambridgeSoft served over one million customers in the pharmaceutical, biotech and chemistry markets. He continued to lead the company through its 2011 acquisition by PerkinElmer, Inc., for over $200 million.
Tomasic is currently President of Management Technology, consulting to the software, computing, and biotech industries. He has also served as Chairman of LabTech Corporation, provider of products to the chemistry market, for over 20 years.
BioData's services benefit individual researchers at the bench, and also enhance collaboration and knowledge management across research teams and institutions. Labguru's order management, equipment sharing, and storage mapping features reduce costs and streamline administrative tasks.
