Interactive learning apps developer Modality, Inc., US, has announced that medical students are embracing USMLE prep on iPhone and iPod touch with its popular line of medical education and test prep apps. The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is a required three-step examination that tests students' preparedness for medical practice.
Modality's USMLE prep apps offer blocks of 50 to more than 1,000 board-style questions for Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3, from leading brands like First Aid, Lange, PreTest, and USMLE Consult. Questions are categorised according to content area, allowing users to build customised quizzes based on their study preferences at any given time. Detailed statistics indicate the user's strong and weak spots to deliver a more streamlined approach to studying. Question browser mode provides unscored review of all content sections, and each app includes the ability to bookmark and save specific questions for further study.
Modality's USMLE test prep catalog spans 16 apps, including First Aid Q&A for USMLE (Steps 1 and 2 CK), created in partnership with McGraw-Hill Professional; Lange Q&A: USMLE (Steps 1, 2 CK and 3), created in partnership with McGraw-Hill Professional; PreTest USMLE Step 2CK Review (Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Surgery), created in partnership with McGraw-Hill Professional; and USMLE Consult: Step 1 (Blocks 1, 2, and 3), created in partnership with Elsevier.
