Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group (NPG), UK, has announced that Translational Psychiatry, a new online-only open access journal, has published its first articles. Published by NPG, the journal is live at www.nature.com/tp.
Editor-in-Chief Professor Julio Licinio will officially launch the new journal during the First National Symposium on Translational Psychiatry at The Australian National University in Canberra.
Translational Psychiatry is a sister journal to Molecular Psychiatry, claimed to be the number-one journal in psychiatry, but explores the more translational area between the research in neuroscience and conceptually novel treatments. Articles are freely available online immediately on publication, published under Creative Commons licenses. An article-processing charge of £2,000 / £3,000 / €2,400 will be levied per article accepted for publication.
Translational Psychiatry is the sixth open access journal from NPG. Two further titles, Scientific Reports and Oncogenesis will also publish their first articles this year. In addition, NPG offers open access options on 37 of its academic and society journals, and on Nature Communications.
