Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group (NPG), UK, has announced that Steven Inchcoombe, currently Macmillan's International Director, will become Managing Director of Nature Publishing Group (NPG) with immediate effect. The announcement was made by the newly appointed Macmillan CEO, Annette Thomas.
Inchcoombe joined the Macmillan Board just over a year ago and has been working closely with Macmillan Education, Macmillan India and Macmillan Production (Asia) Ltd (MPAL) in Hong-Kong with a keen focus on growth, profitability and digital strategy.
NPG publishes journals and online databases across the life, physical and applied sciences and, most recently, clinical medicine. Content encompasses daily news from award-winning journalists, expert opinion and practical methodology, and high impact research and reviews. Also, it publishes a number of journals in association with prestigious academic societies, most of which are expected to opt into the Portico agreement in the coming months.
