NEJM Group, the publisher of the New England Journal of Medicine, has announced the launch of NEJM Clinician, a weekly digital publication created to support clinicians involved in patient care. The publication is intended to serve clinicians who face time constraints by providing curated clinical updates.
NEJM Group has outlined that NEJM Clinician builds on the organization’s existing role in publishing clinical research by selecting and presenting relevant clinical insights from the New England Journal of Medicine and other medical journals to provide clear and dependable guidance.
Drawing from more than 150 peer-reviewed journals and additional sources, NEJM Clinician curates advances in clinical medicine and delivers summaries and commentary in a concise format designed to be read in approximately 30 minutes each week, along with frequent updates. The publication is designed for practicing clinicians and is intended to help healthcare providers remain informed while managing demanding care environments.
The editorial approach has been described as focusing on filtering large volumes of information to identify developments most relevant to general medicine and translating them into practical insights for clinical application.
NEJM Clinician includes multiple article types intended to support timely clinical awareness. These include Journal Watch and Guideline Watch, which focus on new clinical evidence and recommendations; Drug Watch, which addresses the practical implications of recent U.S. Food and Drug Administration approvals; and Clinical Conversations, which present expert perspectives. Each issue features reviews, cases, and images selected from the New England Journal of Medicine and NEJM Evidence, with content intended for immediate clinical use.
NEJM Group has indicated that the publication was developed based on physician input and is designed to help clinicians understand current health evidence without requiring extensive time commitments, supporting evidence-based patient care delivery.
