Nonprofit publisher Annual Reviews, US, has announced that it launched two new journals - Annual Review of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Annual Review of Condensed Matter Physics - during the summer of 2010.
Published in July 2010, the Annual Review of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering focuses on the development of chemical products and processes, and helps to integrate the field of chemical engineering by providing a view across its many different subsections. The Annual Review of Condensed Matter Physics was published in August 2010. The journal looks systematically at the mainstream developments in the field while also exploring the multidisciplinary interactions between condensed matter and much of the rest of modern science.
Both titles reinforce Annual Reviews' reputation for authoritative reviews that assess and filter the wealth of primary literature. This process has reportedly helped experts and non-specialists identify key sources and overcome 'information overload' for more than 75 years.
The Annual Review of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is edited by John M. Prausnitz of the University of California, Berkeley. James S. Langer of the University of California, Santa Barbara, edits the Annual Review of Condensed Matter Physics.
