Journal subscription services provider EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO), US, recently developed and launched an additional innovative feature for EBSCONET, the Company's premier e-service platform. The new feature will help library staff activate their e-journals and track the ongoing status of that activation.
The feature is just one in a series of significant EBSCONET enhancements. It provides instant access to key license information needed in the e-journal management workflow and works in tandem with the license details feature, launched earlier this year.
A comprehensive solution that simplifies the work involved throughout the activation and registration process, the new feature benefits library staff in many ways. It lists orders that require action; identifies what actions are required; provides details and instructions for completing each action; and finally, tracks the overall progress of the registration and activation functions. The various components that make up the order activation and registration feature have been automatically added to existing EBSCONET Administrator accounts, at no charge.
