Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group (NPG) and the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCOS) have announced a new quarterly, online-only journal, Spinal Cord Series and Cases.
Spinal Cord Series and Cases is an international quarterly, subscription-based journal publishing original, cutting-edge research articles and case reports that address all aspects of spinal anatomy, physiology and lesions (injury and disease). It accepts contributions on clinical observations and small sample spinal cord lesion management outcomes.
As an official journal of the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCOS), Spinal Cord Series and Cases builds upon the success of its sister journal, Spinal Cord (2013 Impact Factor 1.699).
Spinal Cord Series and Cases will provide a multi-disciplinary forum for basic science, clinical and applied studies, psychology and epidemiology of spinal disorders, and is committed to rapid publication. Utilising Nature Publishing Group's online submission system, Spinal Cord Series and Cases aims to publish content within 25 days from acceptance into production. All published content will be free to access online throughout 2015.
The editorial team is led by Dr. Jean Jacques Wyndaele. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of Spinal Cord Series for the past five years and the ISCOS President for the last year.
Nature Publishing Group works with more than 45 societies and organisations worldwide to provide publishing services. Spinal Cord Series and Cases joins over 60 journals in NPG's academic, society and partner journals programme.
