Non-profit scientific publisher Institute of Physics Publishing (IOP), UK, recently launched the IOP Conference Proceedings: Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES), a new open access proceedings service. EES is the latest addition to IOP's portfolio of environmental publications and services.
The service, dedicated to conferences specialising in the earth and environmental science disciplines, is based on IOP Publishing's successful open access proceedings in physics. Backed by a highly experienced conference publishing team, EES provides conference organisers with a fast, flexible and cost-effective proceedings service. By choosing EES, organisers can create a comprehensive record of their event and make valuable contribution to the open access literature that will be of long-lasting benefit to their communities.
As part of the service's launch, EES is waiving of $5000 of publication fees for a number of conferences who expect to publish their proceedings during 2008. The first conference to qualify for this is the 14th International Symposium for the Advancement of Boundary Layer Remote Sensing (ISARS2008), scheduled for June 23-25, 2008, at Denmark.
