Bibliographic information provider Bowker, US, and Booklog, a leading point-of-sale and inventory management system for booksellers, have announced the launch of a new suite of order information services from Bowker that integrates with the latest version of Booklog's POS system.
The newly integrated Bowker content includes one-screen access for bookstore managers to do real-time checks of publisher price and availability and order books electronically through Pubnet. These Bowker products will be seamlessly integrated into the new 8.0 version of Booklog, which is currently available.
The new suite of services from Bowker is seen as a major value-add for customers of Booklog as it will significantly increase efficiency at the retail level, enabling book retailers to deliver faster and more satisfactory customer service. Also, booksellers and book publishers will be able to work together more effectively.
