New transformative agreement between IOP Publishing and MALMAD to benefit leading institutions in Israel -

IOP Publishing (IOPP) has signed a new open access transformative agreement with Israeli academic consortium the Israeli Inter University Centre for Digital Information Services (MALMAD).

As part of the three year ‘read and publish’ agreement, which runs until the end of 2023, researchers affiliated with the MALMAD member institutions involved will be able to publish open access in IOPP’s hybrid titles with no article publication charges for qualifying articles at the point of publication.

Authors will be able to retain copyright on their articles, which will be published under an open license (CC-BY). As well as being able to enjoy barrier-free publication, researchers and students at the participating institutions will have reading access to the majority of content published on IOPscience.

MALMAD – the Israeli Inter University Centre for Digital Information Services, serves as a consortium for the acquisition, licensing and operation of information services to universities and colleges in Israel. The MALMAD institutions included in this transformative agreement between IOPP and MALMAD are the Weizmann Institute of Science, Tel Aviv University, and the Israel Institute for Biological Research.
