NFAIS to host NFAIS Humanities Roundtable 2015 -

The National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS™), a global non-profit membership organization serving the information services community, will host the NFAIS Humanities Roundtable 2015, October 2 in Chicago with virtual participation available from any location.

This year's event, hosted in conjunction with the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) and Quarles & Brady LLP, focuses on the theme of Digital Humanities & Digital Publishing: Global Opportunities and Challenges. This annual event brings together an array of information professionals working in the collaborative realm of digital humanities, libraries, publishing and advanced information services.

The NFAIS Humanities Roundtable 2015 will address practical aspects of developing and delivering multicultural, multilingual information services to an increasingly broad and diverse market. The event's roster of speakers will discuss myriad ways to spur enhancement of and engagement with the broadest possible forms of interdisciplinary scholarship and education.

Other topics will include updates on scholarly engagement, international intellectual property and licensing concerns, editorial policies and practices, accessibility and disability, user habits of students in the People's Republic of China, as well as actionable advice for meeting and satisfying user expectations and requirements.
