Academic publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced the appointment of Niko Pfund as president of OUP USA. He has been acting president of OUP USA since December 2010.
In his new position, Pfund will continue as academic publisher of OUP USA. He will also manage the day-to-day operations of OUP USA and continue to direct Oxford's US development as a journals publisher.
Additionally, Pfund will work within OUP's global academic publishing framework, which includes global sales and marketing; digital/reference; strategy management; content operations and IT and business development.
