Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, has announced that the National Library of Medicine (NLM) has selected the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform and Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery solution to replace the institution’s Ex Libris Voyager® integrated library system (ILS) and the WebVoyage online public access catalogue.
NLM is a leader in research in biomedical informatics and data science and the world’s largest biomedical library. Since 1998, NLM has been using the Voyager ILS for library management operations and WebVoyage Classic for public access to the NLM collection. In March 2020, NLM began the migration to the Alma platform and Primo solution.
The cloud-based Alma library services platform is compliant with the government-wide Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) in order to meet the stringent security requirements of government institutions.
