Nominations now open for Nature Awards for Mentoring in Science - France -

Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group, UK, has called for nominations for the 2011 Nature Awards for Mentoring in Science. The 2011 awards focus on France, and two prizes of €10,000 will be awarded - one for mid-career and one for lifetime achievement. Nominations close on June 27, 2011. The Awards will be presented by Nature Editor-in-Chief Dr Philip Campbell at a ceremony in Paris in October 2011.

The panel of judges for the 2011 Awards will be chaired by Olivier Pourquié, Director of the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology, Illkirch, France.

Nominees may work in any discipline within the natural sciences, and should be resident in France. They may nominate themselves or be nominated by colleagues and ex-colleagues. Nominations for a candidate must include independent testimonials by at least five researchers mentored by their nominee, not all over the same period.
