NPWH partners with Springer Publishing to launch new clinical journal -

The National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) has announced a significant collaboration with Springer Publishing to launch a new clinical journal titled the Clinical Journal for Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (CJNPWH). Set to debut in 2025, this quarterly, peer-reviewed online journal aims to be a leading resource in women’s and gender-related healthcare, offering cutting-edge insights into clinical practice, health policy, and professional development.

Heather L. Maurer, MA, CAE, Chief Executive Officer of NPWH, expressed her excitement about the launch, highlighting the journal’s potential to become an essential resource for women’s health nurse practitioners and other advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs).

Mary Gatsch, CEO of Springer Publishing Company, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the alignment between NPWH’s mission and Springer’s commitment to advancing women’s and gender-related healthcare. Gatsch expressed confidence that the new journal would significantly impact the field and improve healthcare outcomes for women.

The mission of CJNPWH is to provide essential clinical, policy, and professional development content for nurse practitioners and other APRNs who specialize in women’s and gender-related healthcare. The journal will focus on inclusivity, addressing the diverse backgrounds and experiences of its readership, and will emphasize health equity and the reduction of health disparities.

Editor-in-Chief Beth Kelsey, EdD, APRN, WHNP-BC, FAANP, underscored the journal’s dedication to these goals, stating that CJNPWH is committed to publishing articles that advance the knowledge and practice of nurse practitioners in women’s health while promoting broader health equity.
