The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) has joined the Global Research Initiative on Open Science (GRIOS), committing €50,000 annually to support research on open science policies and impact assessment.
GRIOS aims to consolidate existing research on open science, identify knowledge gaps, and provide insights for policymakers, research institutions, and funding bodies. The initiative seeks to address barriers in open-access implementation, infrastructure, and policy alignment by adopting an evidence-based approach.
NWO’s participation strengthens its long-standing support for open science, further advancing transparency and accessibility in global research practices.
