The Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) and the DOAJ/Lund University Libraries have announced that the first Conference on Open Access Scholarly Publishing will be held from September 14 - 16 at the Scandic Star hotel in Lund, Sweden.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from many leading figures within the open access publishing movement, and to participate in workshops that will highlight a number of important issues related to open access publishing. Participants who are members of the OASPA are invited to participate in the first Annual General Meeting of the association, which will be held in the afternoon on September 16 following the end of the conference.
OASPA offers a forum for bringing together the entire community of Open Access journal publishers. It seeks to represent the interests of Open Access (OA) journal publishers globally in all scientific, technical and scholarly disciplines. This mission is carried out through exchanging information, setting standards, advancing models, advocacy, education, and the promotion of innovation.
