Global library cooperative Online Computer Library Center Inc. (OCLC), US, has announced the appointment of Andrew Pace as Executive Director, Networked Library Services, effective January 7, 2008.
In his new position, Pace will guide the future development of network level services for libraries. He most recently served as head of Information Technology at North Carolina State University Libraries.
A nonprofit library membership and research organisation OCLC Online Computer Library Center provides computer-based cataloging, reference, resource sharing, preservation and eContent services to 60,000 libraries in 112 countries and territories. OCLC and its member libraries worldwide have created and maintain WorldCat, the world's richest online resource for finding library materials.
