OECD data, publications, and analysis now freely accessible -

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has announced a major transition to an open-access information model, making its extensive data, publications, and analysis freely accessible to the public. This move marks a significant step in promoting transparency and enabling broader dissemination of important economic and social research.

The OECD began its journey towards greater accessibility with the launch of its data portal and platform integration in 2014, which made numerous publications available to read online for free. The recent adoption of the Creative Commons CC-BY-4.0 licence further enhances this accessibility, allowing users to freely access, download, and share OECD publications.

To support this open-access model, the OECD has redesigned its website, oecd.org. The new design features improved search functions and filtering options, enabling users to efficiently find and navigate content by topic and country. The website now hosts a comprehensive catalogue of nearly 30,000 items from the OECD archives, available for free access and download.

The OECD works with over 100 countries, serving as a global policy forum dedicated to promoting policies that preserve individual liberty and improve the economic and social well-being of people worldwide. The freely accessible resources on the new oecd.org will facilitate the OECD’s mission by providing valuable insights and data to a broader audience.

Visitors are encouraged to explore the wealth of information available on the new OECD website, including detailed economic reports, policy analysis, and a wide range of statistical data. This initiative underscores the OECD’s role as a leader in advancing knowledge and supporting evidence-based policy-making across the globe.
