Ohio University researchers publish open access in ACS Journals at no cost -

Ohio University researchers will now be able to publish open access articles in American Chemical Society (ACS) hybrid journals without paying article processing charges (APCs), following a new read-and-publish agreement announced by OhioLINK.

Under the agreement, Ohio University faculty members and graduate students can publish an unlimited number of open access articles in ACS journals at no cost, provided the corresponding author is affiliated with the university and uses an official Ohio University email address during submission. Eligibility for open access publishing will be automatically identified through the ACS submission system and confirmed by University Libraries staff.

In addition to publishing benefits, the agreement provides Ohio University researchers with full-text access to all 29 ACS journals, significantly expanding access to chemical science research. The ACS agreement joins OhioLINK’s existing open access partnerships with major publishers including Springer, Elsevier, Cambridge University Press, Biomed Central, IOP (Institute of Physics) and Wiley, reinforcing the consortium’s ongoing support for open scholarship.
