Optica Publishing Group appoints new Editors-in-Chief for four journals -

Optica Publishing Group has announced the appointment of four new Editors-in-Chief across its journal portfolio. Peter E. Andersen will lead Applied Optics, Thomas F. Krauss has been named Editor-in-Chief of Optica, Curtis R. Menyuk will head Advances in Optics and Photonics, and Carsten Rockstuhl has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Optics Letters.

The new editors bring extensive research, leadership, and editorial experience across optics, photonics, and related fields. They succeed outgoing editors who served between 2020 and 2025 and helped shape the journals’ quality and reputation.

According to Optica Chief Publishing Officer Alison Taylor, the appointments reflect Optica’s commitment to strong editorial leadership and continued excellence across its publications, which collectively represent one of the world’s largest and most cited bodies of optics and photonics research.
