O'Reilly and Microsoft Press books available for sale on Apple's iBookstore -

Publisher O'Reilly has announced that nearly 800 O'Reilly Media and Microsoft Press titles are available for sale currently on Apple's iBookstore. The iBookstore is included in the free iBooks app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

The more than 600 titles in the iBookstore from O'Reilly include Jeff Potter's Cooking for Geeks, David Pogue's iPhone: The Missing Manual, J. D. Biersdorfer's iPad: The Missing Manual, and Mark Pilgrim's HTML5: Up and Running. Almost 150 Microsoft Press titles are also available, including Steve McConnell's Code Complete, Second Edition; Ed Bott's Microsoft Office 2010 Inside Out; and William R. Stanek's Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Administrator's Pocket Consultant.

The availability of O'Reilly and Microsoft Press titles is limited to the US and Canada iBookstore for now. However, the companies aim to make the full catalogue of titles from O'Reilly, Microsoft Press, and all of their digital distribution clients available in every territory with an iBookstore.

Microsoft Press is a division of Microsoft Corporation, publishing self-paced learning materials on Microsoft products and associated technologies. The editorial development of Microsoft Press products is shared between Microsoft and O'Reilly Media, with O'Reilly handling sales, distribution, customer service and some administrative functions.
