Oriprobe's China/Asia on Demand content now discoverable via Summon web-scale discovery service -

Serials Solutions, a US-based provider of tools and services for libraries and a business unit of ProQuest LLC, has signed an agreement with Oriprobe Information Services, Inc. to enable the discovery of its China/Asia on Demand (CAOD) content from the Summon web-scale discovery service. With the inclusion of CAOD, researchers now will be able to discover materials from a comprehensive collection of Chinese science, technology and medicine serials and information for their research projects.

Through this agreement with Oriprobe, Serials Solutions is able to help users discover yet another diverse and sought-after source of information. Boasting more than 36 million journal articles, CAOD features a vast collection of reliable information spanning Chinese arts and humanities, medical and scientific research, and business information. While most of the journals available are published in China, many researchers rely on CAOD as a valuable resource for information published across all of Asia.

Headquartered in Ontario, Canada, Oriprobe is a supplier of China/Asia information solutions and China electronic resources based in North America. Oriprobe offers customised information platforms, China digital resources collections and quality services of information retrieval from China specifically and Asia in general. The company offers a wide array of electronic resources covering journals, policies and laws, Chinese companies and products, institutions, newspapers, dissertations, conference proceedings, patents, standards and much more.

The agreement with Oriprobe is the latest content announcement from Serials Solutions. Currently, the Summon service allows researchers to search full-text content from more than 7,000 providers and contains more than 750 million records. First introduced to the industry in July 2009, the Summon web-scale discovery service provides proven value to more than 250 libraries worldwide.
