Oxford Journals, a division of Oxford University Press (OUP), UK, has announced that it has become a content partner of Serials Solutions' KnowledgeWorks Certified programme. With this initiative, Oxford Journals seeks to ensure that bibliographic data relating to its journals is as accurate and up-to-date as possible in the Serial Solutions' knowledgebase. For the purpose, data on ISSNs, titles, start and end dates of coverage, and a holding URL will be submitted to Serials Solutions on a regular and frequent basis.
The Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks Certification Program seeks to promote the best possible collaboration between the company and content providers. These relationships will help Serials Solutions best represent the content providers' metadata and better serve the end user. KnowledgeWorks is a knowledge base that enables librarians to keep track of their constantly changing electronic collections. This knowledgebase holds bibliographic metadata on a vast range of e-resources and is a primary component of Serials Solutions' 360 services.
Content partners of KnowledgeWorks Certified have committed to deliver data periodically to Serials Solutions in an agreed format to enable the knowledgebase to be regularly updated.
