Academic publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced the launch of a new open access journal, Virus Evolution. The journal is led by Editors-in-Chief, Professor Oliver Pybus, University of Oxford, and Professor Santiago Elena, Instituto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Plantas (CSIC-UPV).
According to Prof. Elena, Virus Evolution aims to be the common forum where advances from a number of fields are combined together, making them accessible to the wide and diverse community of scientists interested in understanding why and how viruses have evolved and continue evolving.
The journal is now open for submissions and OUP has announces the waiving of fees for an introductory period.
