Academic publisher Oxford University Press has announced a new partnership with the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology (ISHAM). Beginning in January 2014, OUP and ISHAM will be working together to publish the journal Medical Mycology.
Medical Mycology is a peer-reviewed international journal that focuses on original and innovative basic and applied studies, as well as learned reviews on all aspects of medical, veterinary and environmental mycology. Its objective is to present the highest quality scientific reports from throughout the world on such divergent topics as the phylogeny of fungal pathogens, the application of new approaches in the treatment of mycoses such as nanoparticles, and descriptions of new or unusual fungi associated with human or animal diseases.
The research published in Medical Mycology is intended to provide a comprehensive information base on areas in the forefront of research and newly proposed revisions in reference concepts for use by medical mycologists, microbiologists, clinicians, and environmental specialists.
